Love my new Grady 285' Freedom so Much, I'm already thinking about moving up to the 325' Freedom

Bought the new 285 Freedom for the 2019 boating season. During the past 11 years years I averaged only 20 hours with my prior boat, a 25' pursuit OS. This year I put more than 50 hours on my new boat I had so much enjoyment with it. It handled the seas in Buzzards Bay so well, especially late in the afternoon during your typical south westerly winds, and heavier seas. I so looked forward to my trips down Buzzards Bay more than ever. The Freedom Handled the Seas so well!

Back to boating

I had a Sea Ray more than 25. When I decided to get back into boating I did my research and had it narrowed down to three brands. Sea Ray, Boston Whaler, and Grady White. Being a perfectionist when I looked into getting back into boating I certainly did my homework. The Grady White stood out as a boat that paid particular attention to details. I bought the Freedom 285 and I am loving it. The Yamaha engine are smooth quiet and powerful. The boat handles Long Island waters very well.

My wife told me this was the best decision I’ve ever made!

I’ve had many boats throughout the years and running on Lake Erie can be challenging at times. Between the boat wake and the wind kicking the waves up within minutes, it can be a very rough ride. The first big wave we rode up on my wife said “Oh No!”. As we settled gently down, she then looked at me and said “ This was the best decision you’ve ever made “. Of course marrying her was the best. I have since told our Grady White dealer, that he probably won’t be selling me another boat.
