Symphony in the Sand, Bayfest and Other "Islandy" Events

symphony on the sandAs the weather cools down, the season heats up! Some of our favorite Anna Maria Island events take place in the months of October and November, so mark your calendar for the following happenings.

Bayfest!

Pine Avenue, Anna Maria Island
October 18 from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. and October 19 from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Great bands, great food and great fun!  Bayfest is always one of Anna Maria Island’s top festivals of the year and this year, it will be no different.  Pine Avenue is lined up with retail vendors, food booths, a classic car show and plenty of activities for kids. Live music includes Mike Sales, Dean Johansen, Koko Ray, Shotgun Justice and many others.  This is always a family-friendly festival, so bring the kiddos, head to the North end of Anna Maria and enjoy the island’s best party!

St. Armands Boat Show

St. Armands Circle, Sarasota
October 25 & 26 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
We had to mention this one!  We love shopping and dining at St. Armands, but when you add in a boat show, it’s absolutely the BEST place to be! We are brining our top-of-the-line new boats to the Circle and we will display them around the middle park area. Stop by, say hi and check out our Grady-White Coastal Explorer and Southwind Hybrid.

Symphony in the Sand

November 8, 2014 from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Sand in your toes, a plate of gourmet food on your lap and a full 45-piece orchestra playing live music on the beach? Sign us up! If that sounds good to you, make sure you get an early ticket to the Symphony on the Sand. Coquina Beach (located on the South end of Anna Maria Island) hosts the Anna Maria Island Concert Chorus and Orchestra who will preform classical and contemporary music. For a seat at a table and gourmet food from local restaurants (including Euphemia Haye and The Waterfront), tickets cost $100.  If you want a FREE seat, pull up your boat and anchor just off the beach.
