Cannons Marina: 55 Ain’t No Jive!

Cannons Marina Turn 55Happy Birthday to us!
It’s time for us to blow our own air horn! We’re proud to announce that Cannons Marina recently celebrated 55 years (1955-2010) of doing business on Longboat Key! We are the oldest family owned and operated business on Longboat Key.
We are so proud to be celebrating our 55th anniversary. As a young boy in 1955, little did I know that we would have the longevity we have today. I owe it to team members like Marina Manager Benny Parrish and Service Manager Tom Tomao, who have both been with Cannons Marina for 28 years, and to Jim Gallagher, our assistant marina manager, who has been with Cannons for 24 years.
Our success is built upon our reputation for quality, a 100% customer service commitment and our competitiveness. That is what has made this 55th birthday celebration a possibility. 2010 has been an exciting year for Cannons Marina.
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), together with The Clean Boating Partnership, awarded us the double designation of Clean Marina and Clean Boatyard for the fifth straight year. And, we received our 13th straight Admiral Circle Award designation from Grady-White Boats.
Today, we enjoy success both nationally and internationally as an award-winning dealer specializing in Grady White Boats, Scout Boats, SouthWind Deck Boats and Yamaha outboard engines. Cannons Marina is Florida’s oldest Grady-White dealer and is a certified dealer by the National Marina Manufacturer’s Association (NMMA) and the Marine Retailers Association of America (MRAA).
So, let’s all sing together, Happy Birthday to us because turning 55 ain’t no jive!
