This week, there are some exciting things happening here in Sarasota that has our boating mojo in a tizzy! What’s giving us the goosebumps (and it’s not the chilly weather)?

1) Cannons Marina is celebrating the opening of West Marine’s brand-new flagship store here in Sarasota! The new store is over 21,000 square feet and is the largest marine and ship’s store in Southwest Florida – think of it as a fisherman’s paradise with tackle, apparel and boating products galore! The grand opening event starts this Thursday, December 9 and it will be THE place to be this weekend. There will be tips from experts and interactive games but we’re particularly excited about seeing “Deck Boss,” Edgar Hansen, from TV’s Deadliest Catch – he’ll be at the store signing autographs on Saturday, December 11 from 2 – 4:30pm.

2) West Marine’s Grand Opening event includes an awesome boat show with door-buster deals! Come out to see some amazing boats from many of the area’s best boat dealers including Galati Boats & Yachts, Marine Max and, you guessed it, Cannons Marina!

We are participating in the Grand Opening and are offering some seriously good deals on hot boats like SouthWind’s family deck boats.  You’ll wanna check it out and, the prices are so good, you might just wanna make a purchase. You and your family could be out enjoying the water by next weekend!
