It’s that time of year!  The biggest boat show is about to begin which means, this weekend you should head down to the 2012 Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show.  The boat show takes place from October 25 – 29.  If you are looking for a hotel and restaurants, check out our recent Ft. Lauderdale blog that details the best experiences you can have – including the Mermaid Show at the Sheraton Ft. Lauderdale Beach Hotel (don’t miss it!).  The Sheraton is also a great place to stay because it’s right across the street from the Bahia Mar Yachting Center, where the boat show is located.
We are excited about the show because this is always one of the best!  And we’ve done a little research and here are some booths that we’re particularly excited to check out:

1)  Brownie’s Yacht Diver

At this booth, you can purchase some of the coolest dive gear at special boat show prices, including the  Seadoo RS Series of dive scooters and Jetlev, the water powered jet pack for personal use that will turn you into James Bond on the water. Also, Brownie’s is an official dealer of the very cool Pau Hana stand-up paddle boards.

2) Guy Harvey’s Ocean Foundation

Known as the best marine life artist in the word…you probably have one of his t-shirts, but in 1986, Guy Harvey was a marine biology professor when he was invited to present his art at the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show.  He’s been at the show ever since and this year is no different.  Guy Harvey will be there to sign t-shirts but also to raise awareness of his marine conservation organization, Ocean Foundation. He wants to spread the word on how important sharks are in the marine ecosystem and how we need to protect them.

3) Crocs

OK, everyone probably already has a pair of these, but this year, Crocs is celebrating their 10th Anniversary and they’re introducing a new boat shoe!  Their Croslite™ material (which gives each pair of shoes the soft, comfortable, lightweight and odor-resistant quality) make them perfect to wear on a boat. And at the boat show, they will be introducing the stylish and practical Hover Leather Boat Shoe.  Get yourself a pair of these!

4) Cannons Marina with Jupiter Marine!
