Did you know that Cannons Marina sponsors the incredibly active Suncoast Grady-White Club—and that two fantastic activities are on the calendar in July and August, with more to come in the fall and spring?

First up, on July 15, 2023, Club members will meet at Shore Restaurant on Longboat Key for an early lunch followed by a cruise. If you’re traveling to the restaurant by car, Shore is located at 800 Broadway Street, Longboat Key, and offers valet parking. If you plan on arriving by boat, Shore is located at ICW Marker 39, and boat slips are available on a first come basis. The Club currently has a reservation for 32 people, but it can adjust as needed. If you’re a Club member who’s interested in attending, email Club Commodores Mike and Mary Robinson at mmmkr@verizon.net with the number of guests in your party. If you’re not a Club member but are interested in joining, please see below for how to sign up.

The Club’s second event is a Sandbar Soiree on August 12, 2023—and the Cannons Crew is hosting! We’ll supply hamburgers and hot dogs, but ask members to bring their own drinks and a side dish or dessert. The date and time are TBD right now, but we’ll be in touch soon with more details.

The Club is also interested in planning a trip to Naples in October, and would love suggestions on what to do and where to go. Please reach out with your suggestions.

We’re also thrilled to share that we’re in talks with Gwen at Grady-White about a factory tour of the Grady plant, and will be finalizing a spring date soon. The Grady-White plant is incredibly well-organized and clean, and seeing the level of craftsmanship, design and engineering that goes into every Grady-White boat is a must-do item for Grady-White owners.
