Eastern's 248 Islander adds a touch of elegance for family day-cruising, luncheons, and sunset cruises. Her pilothouse includes a companion seat opposite the helm, with a galley/mate unit just aft. It includes a sink, a refrigerator, trash storage, and an angled double seat facing into the cockpit. With the 150-hp outboard mounted on a bracket, the closed transom gets a full-width, cushioned bench seat. Both cockpit seats gain elegant, plush, custom striped upholstery, and a teak-trimmed cockpit table mounts on a pedestal between them. To shade the entire cockpit she has an aft Bimini Top. The 248 Islander's surprising performance and trim tabs allow you to dial in a comfortable ride in any reasonable conditions, the 248 Islander is a very seaworthy companion for multiple missions - while being skimpy at the fuel pump.
