It’s January—and there are so many amazing boating opportunities stretching out before us. So, in the spirit of the new year, we thought we’d share some New Year’s boating resolutions. Here are seven ideas to consider this year.
Bring your loved ones aboard.
The best part of getting on the water is sharing the experience with your favorite people. Make a plan to bring your friends and family on your next outing.
Take a trip somewhere new.
Whether it’s a few-hour trip down the coast or a week-long excursion, there’s nothing like the feeling of finding your new favorite destination. And if you need help planning a trip, the Cannons Crew is happy to help.
Volunteer for a coastal cleanup.
Keep Sarasota County Beautiful has announced that the International Coastal Cleanup will take place this fall, with registration opening in August. (The official event date is still TBD.) This Ocean Conservancy initiative began in 1986; in 2016, more than 18 million pounds of trash was collected by nearly 500,000 volunteers across the globe. Let’s all do our part to keep the waters we share clean and beautiful!
